2006 NT Summer Game League

Time to sign up for the NT Hockey summer league! First come - first signed up for this 4 team, 12 game schedule. Rosters are balanced by Coach Melton and have filled up quickly the past 2 summers. All NT students and incoming freshmen are eligible for the first slots.

Every year, new families w/ tons of talent and energy join the NT Hockey Clubs. This year, Bill Patterson has added his artistic skills to the fold. He generously helped in the Senior nite shoot and has been clicking away at the many of the NT girls' games all season. Catch Bill and all of his shots at the website below. Thank you vm Bill!!

2005-06 NT Girls Hockey

As the 30 NT seniors begin the final shifts of their high school hockey careers, it's that time to reflect back on all the wins (a few of the losses); the 6 a.m. practices; those special, late Sunday nite Vernon Hills games; and being able to recite travel times from Sts. Spectrum to SIA...to remember those who always made (clean) game socks (that match) appear and tied skates in dank, smelly locker rooms; who juggled schedules to selflessly prepare meals, snacks and treats at all hours of the day - and nite... who in their hearts quietly cheer the loudest in all of the good times and remain the most loyal supporters in all of those other times...it has gone way too fast from the Ice Mice days of yesteryear...

New for the New Year.... Video iPod compatible highlights have arrived at the NT Web. If you have a Video iPod you're in luck! If you don't have an iPod or a Mac, you're still in luck -- you can view these files on your Windows PC if you have QuickTime or iTunes installed (note: they're not compatible w/ Windows Media Player)

The Video iPod files (.m4v) are of the same quality or better than our regular video clips and due to the more efficient format, these files are smaller (half the size or less).

All new video releases will be available in both formats. Videos previously released this season will have iPod versions added to the Multimedia page as time permits... check the Multimedia page often for new versions.

Please Note:
to reduce the risk of liquifying your brain with the earbuds, we've lowered the audio levels on iPod versions of our videos.

On October 1, 2005, 30 NTHC JV and White Varsity players, 3 coaches, and four parents participated in our annual Club Service Day at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. In a little over 2 & 1/2 hours, our NTHC volunteers sorted through 5,000 pounds of produce which was repacked for distribution to soup kitchens and shelters throughout the Chicago area. Although tomatoes and red peppers were flying through the air, no "food fights" occurred!

Thank you to all the players who participated in this early morning call of duty on Saturday! Without support like yours, the Food Depository could not meet the needs of the community

as efficiently as it does. A special thanks to Coaches Malstrom, Edwards and Pecka along with parents Mike Gayda, Bill Parke and Mark Westhoff for joining our volunteer session. The Blue, Green and the Girls' team will be traveling to the Food Depository in February 2006.
