NT Junior Varsity began the season with a practice game against the Barrington Broncos that ended in a 1-1 tie. The two teams played to a 0-0 tie in the Loyola Thanksgiving tournament. And, at the end of 45 minutes of regulation in the State semi-final game, the score was tied once again, at 0-0. The teams would go on to play FOUR ten-minute sudden death overtime periods, just five minutes short of a complete second game. Both teams were battling fatigue, however, with 24 seconds left in the 7th period, Barrington broke the scoreless tie with a perfect shot from close in to end the marathon, and earn a spot in the State Championship game. Total shots were 42-34 in the Broncos favor. Congratulations to all of the NTJV coaches, players and families on a FANTASTIC season!!!
