The Tryout / Regular Season registration will consist of two steps. 

1. Tryout Registration: This process captures all necessary information, acknowledgment of NTHC policies and collection of Physical Exam Form (see below requirements). 
2. Roster Acceptance: Once offered a roster spot, a player has 24 hours to accept the team placement. The first 1/3 of the season fees are due at this time (see below payment structure details).

IMPORTANT: Before you begin your tryout registration, please make sure you have the following completed.

USA Hockey Number: Players will need to register and obtain a current USA Hockey number for the upcoming season. Click Here to register.

Current Physical Exam Form: All players need a current physical exam on file. Exams are valid for one calendar year. If your player's physical expires mid-season, you will need to submit a new form at that time. Click Here for a blank physical exam form or reach out to your player's MD for a copy.

Concussion Baseline Exam: An ImPACT Baseline Concussion Test is required for ALL Freshman, ALL Juniors and ALL players new to NTHC (regardless of school year). We understand that for some players (Juniors in particular) it may mean a test 2 years in a row.

You can now take an ImPACT Baseline Test using IBJI’s Sports Access app. Please read carefully for steps to fulfill NT Hockey's requirement for Baseline Testing:

Steps:

1. Download the IBJI app from the Apple App Store or Google Play to schedule a test at home.
2. Once in the app, click to opt-in and submit the required information. IBJI will send you a unique code via email to begin your test. Click Here for information on the IBJI site. Note: If you have taken the test through IBJI in the past, you will have a Passport ID and will be asked to enter this number to begin your test.
3. Once test is completed, download the ImPACT Completion Confirmation. Upload this form through the Baseline Concussion Upload registration in Programs.

SafeSport: All 2005 & 2006 players will need to complete SafeSport Training prior to tryouts (no exceptions). Training is valid for one year. Any player who took the Core Training last season will only take the refresher course. You will need your new USA Hockey number to access the training. Click Here for SafeSport Training Program. You will be asked for confirmation of completion during registration. Per USA Hockey, we cannot officially roster 2005 & 2006 players without completion of Safesport.

Hockey is a team sport that requires a significant financial and time commitment on the part of both the player and his family. Each family should evaluate before the start of the season, their ability to meet their obligations to the club as well as to the team. The cost of playing hockey has increased year to year due to higher ice costs, league fees, referee costs, coaching salaries, tournament entry, transportation & meal fees, team equipment, and off-ice training.

The Club has two ways to offset the cost of hockey. 

The first is through selling sponsorships in the Club’s annual Sponsor book. As in past years, 50% of the sponsor revenue (less certain deductions) generated by a player will be used to offset that player’s fee. An enterprising player can offset 100% of their player fee through this program. In addition, the club offers financial aid under certain circumstances.

Second, NTHC has a scholarship program to support families needing financial assistance. Please see the Alex Pegler Fund info and / or contact the NTHC Treasurer. If I played this past spring season with NTHC, should I wear my spring reversible jersey?

No, NTHC will give any players who have not played a regular season with us a tryout pinny to be worn for all tryouts.

What if my health form expires mid-season?

No problem. Please turn in a health form that was completed by your physician sometime within the last year. If it expires mid-season, we ask that you submit the new form after your physical.

I am a 2005 or 2006 player. I completed my Safesport Training but did not get a confirmation?

Safesport does not send a confirmation once the training is completed. The Registrar will be able to see if you completed or not during the rostering process. You will not be able to be rostered if you have not completed the Safesport Training.

I downloaded the IBJI App and requested a Baseline Concussion Test link but did not receive the link.

It can take a little bit for the link to come through. Baseline links are managed by a live person, so please allow up to 48 hours for a response. Recheck your e-mail or check your Spam folder to be sure it didn't go there. If still no luck, contact IBJI directly.
