Spring Hockey
General Information
Join Us for the Spring Hockey Season!
The New Trier Hockey Club is excited to offer a dynamic Spring program that blends skills development with competitive gameplay. Led by current New Trier Varsity and Junior Varsity coaches, this program keeps players on the ice in a challenging, fast-paced, and fun environment.
Based on registration numbers, we typically field four Varsity teams and three Junior Varsity teams. Teams compete in one to two games per week against other local high school programs from the Scholastic Hockey League (SHL) and the Illinois High School Hockey League (IHSHL).
In addition to games, players will participate in weekly skill sessions, held primarily on Sundays (with a few Saturdays). These sessions focus on:
- Body contact
- Offensive and defensive situational play
- Overall team and individual strategy development
Skill sessions are assigned based on player ability and team placement to ensure appropriate competition and development.
Don’t miss this opportunity to stay sharp, elevate your game, and compete with New Trier Hockey this spring!
PARTICIPIANTS
All current Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors at New Trier High School, as well as current 8th graders planning to attend New Trier in the fall of 2026 are welcome to participate in tryouts.
